Round Annapurna Trekking

The around Annapurna circuit trek starts from Bhulbhule. This is a popular trekking trail in the Annapurna region where you will enjoy spectacular Himalayan scenery.

This 300km circuit takes follows around the Annapurna Himal, following the courses of 2 mighty rivers: the Marsyangdi in the East and the Kali Gandaki to the West and takes one over the 5416m high Thorung La Pass in between the upper reaches of the rivers. The Kali Gandaki is the world’s deepest gorge, flanked by the 8000m giants of Dhaulagiri (8617m) and the Annapurnas (7219m to 8091m). The flora and geography change dramatically around the circuit trek, from the rich, green rice paddies of the lowlands, climbing through deep, dramatic gorges to the arid Manang region and snow covered Thorong La. With the chance to see blue sheep, Himalayan mountain goats, pheasants, jackals, and possibly even the elusive snow leopard, adding to the thrill of being in such a remarkable environment. Not to mention the rich cultural diversity of the Brahmin, Chhetree, Tibetan, Thakali, Magar, Tamang and Gurung inhabitants.

The Circuit is one of the World’s classic treks and on the must do list of any serious trekker or adventurer. Note: anyone planning to do this trek must be careful to ensure that their porters have appropriate clothing, footwear and equipment for crossing the Thorung La Pass. Sometimes the pass crossing may be risky due to the bad weather, such as heavy snow and strong winds which may occasionally close the pass.
