Langtang Full Circuit trek has just about everything Nepal has to offer the lucky trekker! This combined trek (Combination of Tamang Heritage Langtang Gosainkund Helambu) will allow you to totally immerse yourself in this much under rated trekking area and fully explore the exceptional beauty it has to offer.
The Tamang Heritage trek is one of the newest in Nepal and was only opened to trekkers in 2002. It was created with the local villagers to improve trails and showcase the local Tamang people, a people renowned for their hospitality and a culture rich with many local festivals. It is a wonderful start to explore this region on relatively easy going trails through pristine mountain scenery.
Cross over into the Langtang valley and trek through forests of pine, bamboo and rhododendron, keeping an eye open for rare wildlife such as the red panda and multiple species of colourful birds. After the vegetation gives way to alpine meadows, in the spring, you'll be treated to the best wildflower display Nepal has to offer and year round, to up close, breathtaking mountain views.
Onto the enchanting, sacred lakes of the Gosainkund, which are framed with a 150km panorama of Himalayan mountain peaks. The lakes are holy to both Hindus and Buddhists alike and many Hindus make the pilgrimage to bathe in the lakes during the August full moon festival of Janai Purnima
The trek then takes you onto the beautiful, calm valley of the Helambu. The terrain is classic Himalayan foothills. Despite its proximity to Kathmandu, the trails remain blissfully quiet as you wind your way through cultivated terraces, Sherpa villages and mountain viewpoints. A real taste of rural Nepal.
Langtang Full Circuit trek is sure to give every trekker experiences to treasure for a lifetime.
