In 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay were the first people to ever successfully climb to the top of Mount Everest . This classic trek we offer from Bhandar to Everest Base Camp (EBC) takes you on the same journey these two fine men ventured on back then, stopping at EBC. To add ease to this challenge, we have broken it into segments manageable for those of you who are hiking fit and have an interest in enjoying the sites, speaking to the locals and perhaps taking photos along the way.
Our first day to get to the starting point of the trek includes a rugged 10 hour drive in a private vehicle to bring us into Bhandar. The hikes range from approximately 4 – 6 hours each day, allowing lots of time to venture out and explore the many villages.
Acclimatization is always a concern when hiking to this type of altitude. This particular hike allows you the opportunity for your body to adjust comfortably to the changes necessary to make a successful summit.
Take time to check this hike off your bucket list as you engage in the beauty Mount Everest has to offer.
