Upon landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will meet and greet you at the terminal gate. After a quick welcome gesture, they will load your luggage into the car and drive you to the hotel. You will be staying in the tourist district of Kathmandu, Thamel. It is a popular area with many hotels, restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, shops, spas, etc for travelers.

Once you check in at the hotel, there is not much to do. Unpack and relax. We do not have anything planned for this day. So, take your time and explore your surroundings. Thamel is a very bustling area where you can do lots of things. In the late evening, we will meet you for a warm welcome dinner.

We will begin our second day in Kathmandu with an exhilarating mountain flight that takes us to the eastern Himalayas. The flight is early in the morning, so we will be driving to the airport by 6:00 AM. This mountain flight offers stunning aerial views of the numerous 6,000 meters, 7,000 meters, and 8,000 meters above the Himalayan mountains.

The flight begins with spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, and the Gaurishankar mountains. As we fly further, mountains like Melungtse, Numbur, Cho Oyu, Malkalu, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, etc will unfold themselves gradually. And soon, the grand panorama of Mt. Everest and Mt. Kanchenjunga will be in front of our eyes.

You will get a brochure that will help you identify the mountains. The flight crew will also keep introducing you to the mountains as they come into perspective. If you are not trekking, then there couldn't be a better way to kick start your trip in Nepal than literally flying in the Himalayas.

After the flight, the tour guide and driver will pick you up from the airport, and we will begin our guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. From the airport, we will drive to Pashupatinath Temple, which is located close, and then we will visit the Boudhanath Stupa. These two religious sites are very popular among locals and travelers and carry a very distinct divine aura.

We will take a short break for lunch and then continue the tour to Patan Durbar Square and then to Kathmandu Durbar Square. These two historical sites are open museums and used to be royal residences. The tour ends with strolling the bustling local markets, and we will come back to the hotel.

Early in the morning, we will visit the Monkey Temple and soak in the fresh air, lovely aerial view of Kathmandu, and divine energy surrounding the monument. After this short tour, come back to the hotel & get ready to leave for Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a famous holiday spot near Kathmandu. Away from the crowd of the city, Nagarkot offers a quick retreat in nature.

On the way to Nagarkot, we will stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square and take our time to explore this ancient royal residence of the Malla kings who ruled Kathmandu valley in the 12th century. The durbar square has a collection of temples, palaces, and courtyards that serve as a testament to the artistic and cultural heritage of the Newar people.

We will explore the temples, palaces, and the local market surrounding it. Pottery is quite famous here. Likewise, we will try some local delicacies. After the tour, we will continue our drive to Nagarkot. We will be staying overnight in a beautiful hotel. In the evening, we will go for a short walk to catch a gorgeous sunset.

Sarangkot is also famous for paragliding, which you can do too.

After Sarangkot, we will visit the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa located on top of a hill overlooking Phewa Lake. It was built by the Japanese Buddhist organization to promote world peace and harmony. We will then drive to Davis Falls and Mahendra Cave. Davis Falls is a unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow & deep canal.

Mahendra Cave is a limestone cave famous for its stalactites and stalagmites formations that have been created millions of years ago. We will then visit Begnas Lake, which offers a peaceful and serene environment to relax and unwind. Kayaking is quite popular on this lake.

We will end the Pokhara tour by visiting the Gurkha Memorial Museum, situated in the heart of Pokhara. The museum honors the bravery and sacrifice of the Gurkha soldiers who served in the British Army. After the tour, the guide will drop you at the hotel. You have the evening free.
