Swayambhunath
Swayambhunath Stupa is located in the western part of Kathmandu valley on top of the Gopuchha Hill at an altitude of around 300 feet. It is one of the most revered sites for the Budhhist and Hindu community serving as one of the most pristine sites for more than 1600 years. The Stupa can only be accessed by the visitors after climbing a flight of 365 steps. The Swayambhunath stupa is believed to have emerged from a Lotus flower when the valley of Kathmandu was filled with water. The name "Swayambhu" means "Self-Created" as there was an eternal self existing flame over which the stupa was later built. The Stupa is built in a dome shape and is surrounded by many shrines and temples and offers stunning views of the Kathmandu Valley with the glimpses of the High Himalayas when the weather is clear.

Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most revered sites of the Hindu community dedicated to Lord Shiva, the God of Destruction and is visited by thousands of devotees every year for blessings. According to a local chronicle, the Pashupatinath Temple is believed to have been constructed by Pashu Prekshya of the Somadeva Dynasty (around 205 CE) 2300 years ago. The temple's roof was gilded in a renovation project by Ananta Malla (1274-1307 AD). The Temple was heavily damaged by natural calamities and has not seen any damages after the renovation done by King Bhupalendra Malla in 1697 AD. The temple is located beside the holy Bagmati River and the banks of the river serves as one of the biggest open cremation sites of the Hindu community as it is believed that devotees who are cremated there find their way to their next life easily.

Boudhanath Stupa
Boudhanath Stupa built in a Ashokan Style dome shape is around 36 M tall and is said to be built during the Lichhavi period(450 CE- 750 CE). The Stupa is also known as Khastri/ Khasa and Jarungkhasor in Tibetan Language. The Boudhanath Stupa has served as one of the pivotal sites for the Buddhist community. 13. Best Time to Summit the Yala Peak
Although the Yalal Peak can be Summited all year round the seasons of the Himalayas tend to change every three months during which the Spring season which begins from March and end in May and the Autumn season beginning from September and end in November is considered to be the best timeframe to Summit the Yalal peak.

    During the Spring Season
The Spring Season the weather is cool and perfect for trekking as the end of the harsh winter season marks the fresh beginning of Spring season in the Himalayan Region. The Spring Season usually begins from March and last’s till late May. During the Spring season the Mountain Peaks are seen crystal clear as there are usually less to none clouds to disrupt the magnificent views. During the Spring season the wild flowers including the national flower of Nepal Rhododendron start to bloom filling the air with their aromatic smells and turning the already beautiful trail into a majestic paradise for the trekkers. Overall the Spring Season can be considered to be one of the best times to travel as the weather conditions are favorable and there is also a slightly high chance of encountering the diverse wildlife during the Spring Season.

    During the Autumn Season
The Autumn Season begins shortly after the gloomy Monsoon Season of the Himalayas, clearing the thick blanket of dark clouds which tucked the majestic views of the Himalayas. The autumn Season begins from September and usually ends around November after which the harsh Winter of the Himalayas shortly begins. The Autumn Season is considered to be the best time for trekking in the Himalayas as the weather is way cooler and the weather conditions are preferable for trekking as it does not change rapidly and gradually declines as the sun goes down. After early November the trekkers can experience snowfall and drop in temperature which can still be perfect for trekking as the trekkers can experience snowfall and also witness the pristine views of the Himalayas.

    During the Off season
During the Off Season the Himalayas the trekking condition is harsh and not good for trekking as a whole. The Off Season includes two seasons which are the Winter Season and the Summer/ Monsoon season. During the Monsoon season the trail is covered in mud and is completely slippery. The chances of landslide are also at its peak and as the route of the Yala Peak is filled with Landslide zones it can be considered unsafe for trekking. The problems of bugs and insects, mostly Leeches and Mosquitoes in the Lower Langtang region, also affects the trekking experience. The trekkers are strongly suggested to carry water proof gears and raincoats for the trek as without it the trek can be considered impossible as it will be mostly raining during that time.

During the Winter season the trail of the Yala Peak will be covered mostly under a thick layer of snow making it hard to navigate past. As we will be staying in Yala Peak Basecamp in a tent which is at an elevation of 4900 M it can get unbearable as the camp and the summit can be fully covered in snow. The trekkers are suggested to carry Crampons/ Microspikes, trekking poles and thick clothing gears for the trek. Even though the views seen during the Winter season can be compared with any other season as the high intimidating peaks are covered in snow completely. The trekkers will have difficulty navigating through the snow so they should be careful while traveling during the winter season in the Himalayas in general as there is a high chance of avalanches during the peak Winter Season.
