  13. Best Time to Summit the Tharpu Chuli
Usually trekking and expeditions in the high Himalayas can be enjoyed during the Spring Season (March-May) and Autumn Season (September-October) as during the time the weather is favorable and provides the best views of the landscapes. The remaining months are called “off-season” as even though it is possible for adventurous activities in the Himalayas the risk increases drastically and the views of the Himalayas are obstructed by the clouds.

    During the Spring Season
The Spring season is one of the most beautiful times to trek in the Himalayas as the wildflowers bloom making the trek even more beautiful. The Spring season begins just after the brutal winter of the Himalayas so the weather during Spring season is quite pleasant for trekking during which the trekkers can enjoy the best of the Himalayan vista. The lower Annapurna Region is covered in lush green forest covered mostly by abundant Rhododendron trees which bloom during the Spring season increasing the beauty of the trekking trail. During the months from March to May the weather does not suddenly change and gradually decreases as the sun goes down.

    During the Autumn Season
The Autumn season starts after the gloomy Monsoon season sweeping away all the clouds which disrupts the views of the high Himalayas. Often regarded as the best time for any activities in the Himalayas, the Autumn Season begins from September and ends in November. During the Autumn Season the weather is favorable for trekking as the day time is perfect for trekking and during the evening time the temperature decreases gradually. The trekkers can enjoy the undisputed views of the Himalayas and the surrounding vista. During the time from late October to November the travelers will be able to trek through the fresh blanket of snow as winter season begins from December. During this time the mainstream destinations trail will be packed with fellow explorers and adventure seekers so the accommodation for the trip should be pre booked for a stress free and comfortable journey during the Autumn season.

    During the Off Season
The off season covers the Month of December to February (Winter Season) and June to August (Monsoon/ Summer Season). During this time the risk increases by quite a mile as the weather condition can spike at any time. The trekkers planning to travel during the off season are strongly suggested to have proper waterproof gears and warm clothes for their safety. The risk of landslides , Avalanches, Thunderstorms and Snowstorms is very high. The High Himalayas are also well hidden behind the layer of clouds making the trek less appealing for the traveler. During the Monsoon Season the bugs and insects also cause a lot of trouble especially leeches and mosquitoes so the trekkers are suggested to carry bug spray and fungal cream during the monsoon season. The offbeat trekking trail will be mostly muddy and slippery due to the excessive rainfall in Monsoon season so trekkers are suggested to carry raincoat compulsorily during the monsoon season. During the winter season the temperature at the higher altitude of Annapurna region will be mostly around freezing so the trekkers are suggested to carry proper trekking gears and warm clothes for the punishable cold weather. The winter season offers some of the purest views of the Himalayas as the surrounding is covered in snow with high intimidating peaks turning the already dreamy destination to a winter wonderland.
