Detail About Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
Langtang Gosainkund trekking, gives the trekker a remarkable and varied journey through the Langtang valley and onto the holy lakes of Gosiankund. The Gosiankund lakes are considered holy by both Hindus and Buddhists alike and many Hindus make the pilgrimage to bathe in the lakes during the August full moon festival of Janai Purnima.
This trek will give your legs a chance to warm up at the easier elevations and on the more moderate trails of the Langtang, before reaching the harder trails to the Gosiakund area and time to become acclimatised to the higher elevations. In the spring your efforts will be rewarded, not only with some spectacular mountain views, both also with the rhododendron forests in full bloom and carpets of alpine wildflowers. There will also be a chance to sample some of the local cheese at the famous cheese factory in Kanjin Gompa.
The Langtang National Park covers an area of 1,170 km sq and includes 18 different ecosystems. From lowland forests abundant with wildlife, to alpine meadows, pristine lakes, magnificent mountain views and a chance to sample the unique lifestyle of the local Tamang people, this is a truly memorable trek.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. (Pick up and transfer to the hotel)
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour by car, driver and tour guide.
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu – Syaprubesi (1500m), approximately 6 hours drive by 4WD.
Day 04: Syabrubesi – Lama Hotel (2480m) 6 hours trek.
Day 05: Lama Hotel – Langtang (3500m) 6 hours trek.
Day 06: Langtang – Kyangin Gompa (3890m) and hike to kyanjin ri (4773m) 6 hours trek.
Day 07: Tserku Ri (4984m) hike (6 hours) or Langshisha kharka valley walk.
Day 08: Kyangin Gompa – Lama Hotel 6 hours trek.
Day 09: Lama hotel to Thulo Syapru (2300 mtr) 6 hours trek.
Day 10: Thulo Syapru to Cholangpati (3500 mtr) 5 hours trek.
Day 11: Cholangpati to Gosaikunda ( frozen lake 4250 mtr) 5 hours trek.
Day 12: Gosaikunda to Chandan bari(3300 mtr) 5 hours trek
Day 13: Chandan Bari to Dhunche 4 hours trek
Day 14: Dhunche to Kathmandu, approximately 6 hours drive by 4WD.
Day 15: Final departure to the international airport.
An elevated point of 5416m. You will be mountain climbing in the main on well established trails. Come and join a Great adventure trip.

"Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking"
I met Ram during my stay in Katmandu and I booked 14 days trekking. I really love the whole time spent on walking, talking with a guide and local, very hospitable people. The beautiful Himalayan scenery, blooming rhododendrons, a splash of colours, a cultural dimension (the area is home to Tamang, Newari and Chhetri people) of these days – all of that made this trekking an unforgettable experience. I am looking forward to visit Nepal again.

"Trekking Langtang Gosainkunda"
I did a 13-day trek with Mountain Ram Adventures in november, in Langtang Gosainkunda. It was an amazing experience! Ram arranged everything with very short notice in a very good way, and my guide Pawan was truly great! It gets really cold at night, so bring warm clothes and a warm sleeping bag (you can borrow down jacket and sleeping bag from the company). A flashlight is also necessary. I really would like to go back and trek again in Nepal, preferably with Pawan as guide. I really recommend Langtang Gosainkunda, great views and nice villages!

We had a wonderful time with Ram and his team. Everything was organised right from the beginning with a pick up from the airport. We spent one day sightseeing with a tour guide in Kathmandu and then went to 11 days trekking with one of Rams guides. It was a once in a lifetime experience!!
