As you will be arriving in Kathmandu to participate in the Mohare Danda Trek with the Mountain Ram Adventures team the team will be waiting at the Tribhuvan International Airport terminal to welcome you. The team will be assisting you to load your suitcases into the vehicle which will be used to transfer you to the designated hotel in Thamel area. After checking in the clients can roam around the city and experience the variation of amenities which the city offers.
The second day of the trip will begin with a filling breakfast after which we will be heading out for a sightseeing trip accompanied by an English speaking cultural guide in a private vehicle arranged by the Mountain Ram Adventures Team. The city of Kathmandu is rich in culture and architecture and houses seven UNESCO world Heritage sites within the valley. The sightseeing tour will end at around 4-5 PM after which we will be dropped back to our hotel in Thamel. After reaching back to the hotel we will freshen up and will be meeting with the representatives of the Mountain Ram Adventures Team for a discussion of our trip to Mohare Danda as we will be heading towards Pokhara the very next day.

Swayambhunath Stupa
Swayambhunath Stupa is one of the ancient stupa constructed in a Ashokan Dome Style which is believed to be built over the self-existing eternal flame at the top of the Gopuccha Hill. “Swayambhunath” means Self-Created or Self -Existing as it is believed that the stupa emerged from a Lotus flower when the entire valley was submerged under water.The stupa has been serving as one of the major pilgrimage sites for the followers of Buddhism and Hinduism and can be reached only after climbing a flight of 365 stairs. The Stupa is surrounded by temples and shrines built during the ancient times. The Swayambhunath stupa also offers stunning views of the Kathmandu valley surrounded by lush green hills and the Himalayas at the back.
Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva the lord of destruction. The temple is said to be built by Pashu Prekshya during the Soma deva dynasty around 2300 years ago and was renovated by King Bhupalendra Malla in 1697 AD bringing the temple to its current state. The temple has been serving as one of the major pilgrimage hubs for the followers of Hinduism and welcomes more than hundred of devotees everyday arriving for blessings. The temple is situated within the little town of Deopatan within Kathmandu valley at the banks of the holy Bagmati River. The banks of the river serves as one of the biggest cremation sites of the Hindu community as it is widely believed that followers of Hinduism cremated at the banks of Bagmati river find their way to next life without much difficulty. The main vicinity of the Pashupatinath temple can only be accessed by the followers of Hinduism and taking photos and videos is strictly prohibited. At the evening time Arati Puja (the highest form of prayer) is held at the banks of the river providing the onlookers an inside view of Hinduism.(The Arati puja is not included in the sightseeing tour)
Boudhanath Stupa
Boudhanath Stupa is the biggest stupa in Nepal built in the ancient Ashokan Dome Shape. The Stupa is located around 6 KM North East from the center and is believed to be built during the Licchavi Dynasty (450 CE-750 CE) and falls in the ancient trade route which linked the valley of Kathmandu and Tibet. The Boudhanath Stupa is called Khastri/ Khasa or Jarungkhasor in Tibetan. The stupa is visited by hundreds of people who follow the teachings of Buddhism on a daily basis and is one of the major hubs for Buddhism in Nepal. The Boudhanath Stupa’s vicinity provides a tranquil experience to the visitors even though located within one of the major parts of the Kathmandu valley.
Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar square is a concentrated area consisting of ancient temples, palaces, Hitis, Courtyards and statues which was built during the Malla Dynasty and served as their royal residence and the administrative headquarter of the whole of Kathmandu during the ancient times up till the rule of Yaksha Malla whose successors divided the valley into three different kingdoms: Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. The monuments within the Durbar Square showcase the skillful craftsmanship of the ancient Nepalese Kingdom. There is also a museum within the Durbar Square where the visitors can see different monuments and sculptures made during the ancient times.
On our third day we will be heading towards Pokhara which is around 210 KM west from Kathmandu and will take around 6-7 hours of drive. We will be heading to Pokhara in a tourist bus with comfortable seats and beautiful scenic views along the roads. We will be passing through gorgeous river valleys created by the Trisuli River and the Marsyangdi River. The roads to Pokhara are full of twists and turns through the mid hills of Nepal. After a comfortable journey we will reach Pokhara after which we will be transferred to our hotel in the Lakeside area. After checking in we can freshen up and explore the vibrant Lakeside street which is nestled at the shore of the tranquil Phewa Lake and is filled with cafes, bars,restaurants etc providing mesmerizing views of the Phewa Lake and the Annapurna Range if the weather is clear.
We will begin our 4th day of the trip by enjoying our delicious breakfast while soaking in the majestic views of the Annapurna Himalayas after which we will begin our scenic ride towards Beni Bazar from where we will be officially beginning our trek to Banskharka. The journey to Beni will be around 90 KM taking us around 3 hours to reach. After reaching Beni we will be unloading our bags and officially begin our trek towards Banskharka. We will firstly cross the Kali Ganaki river marking the start to our scenic trek to Mohare Danda after crossing the river we will begin our comfortable ascent towards Banskharka covering a total of 6.2 KM. After trekking for around 3 hours we will reach Banskharka which is a small village surrounded by beautiful terrace farm lands of the locals. We will be spending our night in a cozy homestay in Banskharka.
The morning views from Banskharka are mesmerizing as we will be greeted with the peaks of the Dhaulagiri Himalayan Range. The village of Banskharka is also renowned for its oranges and during the harvesting season(January to February) the village is filled with the citrusy delights. After enjoying the views with a comforting breakfast we will begin our trek towards Nangi Village which is around 15.8 KM away from Banskharka. We will be trekking via the offbeat trekking trail which will take us around 4-5 hours to reach. We will be passing through the Batase Danda, Sundaridanda Dill, Phalame Danda which will eventually lead us to Nangi Village. Nangi village is a small village nestled on the slope of a hill overseeing the glorious views of the Annapurna Himalayan Range and Dhaulagiri Himalayan Range. We will be staying in Nangi village for the night in a cozy room of a community based Homestay.
On our 6th day of the trip we will be heading towards Mohare Danda from Nangi Village which will begin after enjoying the glorious views and having our breakfast. The trek from Nangi village to Mohare Danda is around 6 KM long during which we will be passing through the lush green forest filled with Rhododendron and Oak trees. The trek will be a little bit challenging as the inclines are a bit steep. After trekking for around 8 KM we will eventually reach Mohare Danda taking us around 2-3 Hours. The views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan Range seen from Mohare Danda is unparallelled as the views are just majestic. We will be staying in a cozy Homestay operated by the locals of the Gurnung and Magar community. We will be relaxing and enjoying the magnificent views by just relaxing and indulging with the locals.
The start of our 7th day will be surreal as we will be witnessing jaw dropping views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan Range in the morning time as the first rays of dawn fall on the snow peaks turning them golden. After enjoying the mesmerizing views from Mohare Danda we will be heading towards Ghorepani which is a short yet beautiful trek through the lush green forest passing through Kali Daha, Tin Pokhari and eventually Poon Hill after which we will be descending towards Ghorepani through the well maintained stone steps. After a beautiful trek we will eventually reach Ghorepani which is a beautiful village occupied by the locals of the Magar community.
As the Mohare Danda Trek is coming to an end we will be heading towards Naya Pul which will take us around 5-6 hours of trekking through the beautiful offbeat paths passing through Ulleri, Tikhedhunga and Birethanti. We will be covering a total of 13 KM during the trek marking the successful ending to our beautiful trek. We will be heading towards Pokhara from Nayapul in a private vehicle in which we will be dropped back to our hotel in the Lakeside area. After checking into the hotel we will have free time to enjoy the amenities of the Lakeside area or just relax in our rooms.
As the Mohare Danda Trek with the Mountain Ram Adventures team is completed we will be heading back to the capital Kathmandu via a comfortable tourist bus. We will be heading towards the Tourist Bus Park at Rastra Bank Chowk after having our breakfast to catch our scheduled bus to Kathmandu. The journey back to Kathmandu will be through the same twisting roads we traveled for the trek. The journey will be around 210 KM taking us around 6-7 hours. After reaching Kathmandu we will be transferred to our assigned hotel in the Thamel area after which we can freshen up and enjoy the amenities of the Thamel area. During the evening time the Mountain Ram Adventures team will be organizing a complimentary farewell dinner during which the team will provide trekkers with a certificate recognizing their successful participation in Mohare Danda Trek with the team. After having our dinner we will be returning back to the Hotel or enjoy the nightlife of Thamel.
The beautiful Mohare Danda Trek with the Mountain Ram Adventures is successfully completed so the clients will be transferred to the international departure area of the Tribhuvan International Airport by the representatives of the team who will be assisting with the formalities of the hotel and loading the bags in the vehicle. During the airport transfer the clients can provide the team with their honest feedback about their trip and where the service should be improved as the team takes the input of the clients very seriously. The team will be bidding the clients farewell at the terminal. The team will be waiting for a call back to join the clients on their next adventure to the Himalayas.

The Mohare Danda is situated within the lowlands of the Annapurna Conservation Area which boasts the abundance of flora and fauna found in the region. The region houses around 1226 species of flowering plants, 105 species of mammals, 518 species of birds, 40 species of reptiles and 23 species of amphibians so, during the Mohare danda there is slightly high chance of encountering the native species of the lowlands of the region and if the travelers are wildlife enthusiasts then they can carry a binoculars with them for their journey which can come in hand.
The ATMs are not available in the Mohare Danda trek so the trekkers need to withdraw the required funds for their trek while in Kathmandu or Pokhara. The ATMs depending on the bank charges a certain fee per transaction ranging from 3-6 %. The ATMs are also in Beni but it is better to be prepared whilst at Kathmandu or Pokhara as the ATMs in Beni might not operate.
As per the amendment of the rules by the concerned authorities solo trekking within the protected areas in Nepal is prohibited as of April 2023 due to the spike in fatality of solo trekkers. So the solo trekkers are required to be accompanied by a government licensed guide and porters if necessary for their journey. The trekkers participating with the Mountain Ram Adventures team will be assigned with experienced guides and porters accommodating the trekkers for the entirety of the trek.

However the team suggests the trekker to carry essential documents including their vaccination card with them as the rules and policies of their airlines and transit countries might be different than those of Nepal.
Mohare Danda trek is one of the short and easy treks in Nepal while offering some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Himalayas. The trek is one of the safest trekking routes in Nepal during which the highest altitude will be around 3300 M at which the risk of altitude sickness is quite low. The success rate of the trip is around 98 % as there is less to no threat of landslides, avalanches and altitude. However the trekkers are still suggested to trek carefully as any unseen events can arise during the trek.
Yes, the team can arrange the clients with proper nutritious vegetarian meals for their journey to the Mohare Danda. The trekkers need to inform the team before beginning on their journey to ensure that any mishaps do not arise during the trek. The trekkers are also suggested to mention the team if they have any health complications or have any allergies to avoid any safety hazards.
Clean drinking water is available during the Mohare Danda Trek at different accommodation and rest points scattered throughout the trekking route. The trekkers are strongly suggested to not drink water directly from the water sources and only consume it after proper filtering it. The trekkers are also suggested to carry a flask/bottle with them to stay hydrated for their journey to the Mohare Danda.
During the Mohare Danda Trek the trekkers will be covering a total of around 54 KM in 5 days of trekking. The trekkers need to trek around 11 KM everyday for around 5 hours per day and the trekkers are suggested to trek according to their own pace and not rush to reach the next destination. The trekking routes of the Mohare Danda are stable and are filled with comfortable ascents and descents.
