Spring Season: Spring Season is another perfect season to explore in the Himalayan Region. The trekkers will have a pleasant time if traveling to the Manaslu Region during the Months from March to May. The trekking trail of the lower and mid-lands of the Manaslu region is covered in lush green forest filled with abundant Rhododendron Trees, the National flower which blooms during the Spring season turning the trail into vibrant red colour. The Himalayan views can also be enjoyed by the trekkers for the most part as the skies are pretty clear during the Spring season. The trekking trail can get a little bit crowded but not as much as the winter season, however pre booking of required facilities is better. The trekkers can witness sudden change in the weather condition while trekking as the cool breezes of the Winter season still lingers around the early Spring season and during the month of May the trekkers can expect light rainfall as the end of May marks the beginning of Monsoon season. The trekkers are suggested to pack light for their journey to the Himalayas during the Spring Season.
Average Day Temperature During Spring Season:
Summer/ Monsoon Season: The Summer/ Monsoon Season is arguably the worst time to travel to the Manaslu Region as the weather can be extremely unpredictable with regular fluctuation and constant rain making it quite difficult for the trekkers to navigate through the slippery off-beat trails of the region. The travelers need to have raincoats, Poncho and waterproof gears for their journey as it constantly rains in the lower region and snows in the higher region. The travelers are also requested to carry bug spray for the journey as in the lower region bugs and insects like mosquitoes and leeches can become a huge problem during the Monsoon season. Overall, if planning to trek during the Monsoon season the trekkers are highly suggested to shift their plan during other seasons as they will most likely not enjoy their time in the Himalayas as most probably they won't be able to enjoy the views of the Himalayas. The trekking routes of the Manaslu region are well maintained however, during the Monsoon season the probability of Landslides and Avalanches is much higher due to which the trekkers are suggested to stay in high alert and if planning to trek without guides and porters then the team highly suggests the travelers to get well qualified Guides and porters for their journey as without their assistance the journey can be extremely difficult. On the brighter side trekking during the Monsoon/ Summer season is a much more peaceful experience as there are less to no trekkers even in the popular routes and the amenities price in the Himalayas also can be quite low.
