Mountain Ram goes by many names. In its many disguises and avatars, it is knows to some as it Bighorn sheep, to others as Himalayan tahr, to yet others as mountain goat and can be found in Himalayan mountains of Nepal. 

Meat of a Mountain Ram is considered one of the tastiest among cattle and is used for in ceremonies, and as a hunting trophy. Rams serve as a ritual sacrifice at the auspicious and longest Nepali festival of Dashain. During this festival, animal sacrifices are made in the name of devil. Mountain rams inhabit high altitudes but prior to festival are taken to lower altitude villages to sell specially for the festival.
