Manaslu Panorama Trek

Manaslu Panorama Trek is a memorable way,in a short period of time,to experience the real Nepal. From the beautiful pine tree covered Himalayan foothills, to the raging Budhi Gandaki River, to local Tibetan cultures lost in time and of course the mighty Manaslu Range. You will be hypnotized and fall under the influence of Mt Manaslu, eighth highest mountain in the world which dominates this region. This trek is relatively easy compared to the other trekking packages of Manaslu region as the route avoids crossing  the high altitude pass of Larke La (5200m) making it an option for your children to enjoy the challenge with you.

The trek ascends the beautiful Budhi Gandaki Valley and every day sees a change of scenery and the higher you go the closer you get to the mighty Mt Manaslu. Most importantly, this trek offers you the unforgettable panoramic view of Manaslu Range along with the Ganesh Himal and the Tibetan border Himalayas too. Mt Manaslu starts to grab your attention with sneak previews on the way up the valley as soon you enter villages like Lihi or Lho. So you don’t necessarily have to go to high altitudes to have your eyes dazzled with the mountain scenery.

The trekking proper begins at Soti Khola, a seven hour jeep ride or longer on a local bus. After 6 days of invigorating trekking passing through friendly villages like Jagat, Pilim, Lihi, Lho you reach the enticing village of Samagaun (3500m). This is in a majestic setting perched right under the mighty Mt Manaslu and the Manaslu Range. You can just about reach out and touch them. It is here a few days rest is taken before the return trek back down the valley to Soti Khola. While in Sama Gaun the fit and hardy can trek to Mt Manaslu Base Camp (4400m) which has outstanding high altitude mountain views.

You should not forget to ask your guides any questions of interest you may have about the villages, mountains and the region. Our guides love to answer your questions and are walking encyclopedias on trekking in Nepal.
