Kanchenjunga Trekking

The Kanchenjunga trekking route is one of the best regions for those visitors who want to experience more of Nepal and get away from the more visited areas. This region is restricted to organised expedition groups only and the need to be self-sufficient is essential. You will be walking where few foreigners venture, along the remote trails of the local Rai and Limbu people. The region is blessed by the World’s third highest peak,Kanchenjunga (8586m), the jewel of the Eastern himalayas and is located on the border of Nepal, India and Tibet.

Mt. Kanchenjunga has long been regarded as one of the most alluring and treacherous of all the mountains above 8000m and though often considered one of the most beautiful ones, it is subsequently is less scaled by mountaineers. The region of Kanchenjunga lies in the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and is full of riches as regards to the varieties of flora and fauna found in the area.

A trek in this region gives a chance to have a diverse cultural, ethnic and religious experience, in addition to the most enchanting views of the landscape and the ever alluring mountains. Being one of the least visited areas, the true essence of the trek is preserved, allowing one to be part of the local life whilst spending nights in different villages along the trail. A trek in this region will take trekkers to the heart of the mountains where they b39 will be able to absorb the serenity and sanctity of nature in all its splendour.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu. 
Day 2: Preparation day in Kathamndu. 
Day 3 and 4: Kathmandu to Taplejung (1780m.) 20 hours drive. 
Day 5: Taplejung to Lali Kharka (2220m) 6 hours trek. 
Day 6: Lali Kharka to Kesuwa (2100m) 7 hours trek. 
Day 7: Kesuwa to Mamanke (1800m) 6 hours trek. 
Day 8: Mamanke to Yamphudin (2080m) 7 hours trek. 
Day 9: Yamphudin to Tormomg (3000m) 8 hours trek. 
Day 10: Tormomg to Tseram (3870m) 7 hours trek.
Day 11: Tseram to Ramche (4580m) 5 hours trek.
Day 12: Ramche – KBC – Ramche 5 hours trek.
Day 13: Ramche to Gunsa (Miring la 4480 m) 9 hours trek. 
Day 14: Gunsa to Gyabla (2730m) 6 hours trek. 
Day 15: Gyabla to Sakathum (1600m) 7 hours trek. 
Day 16: Sakathum to Chirwa (1180m) 6 hours trek. 
Day 17: Chirwa to Sinwa (980M) 7 hours trek. 
Day 18: Sinwa to Taplejung 6 hours trek. 
Day 19 and 20: Taplejung to Kathmandu 20 hours drive.
Day 21: Transfer to airport for your final flight departure.
